Eine hübsche Sirene - blond und blauhäutig - sitzt auf ihrem Felsen und hofft auf den Mann ihrer Träume. Ein Surfer taucht auf und die beiden fühlen sich sofort zueinander hingezogen. Er verliert jedoch seine Haltung und das Gleichgewicht, fällt ins Wasser und verschwindet in den Tiefen des Ozeans, wo er tragischerweise von einem Hai gefressen wird. Sie ist bestürzt und weint eine Weile lang. Dann beginnt sie zu singen und fasst, als sich ein zweites Boot nähert, neue Hoffnung. Ein gutaussehender Kapitän grüßt sie. Aber ihre Hoffnungen sind bald zunichte gemacht als sie erkennt, dass der Kapitän den Kabinensteward bevorzugt.

However, he loses his composure and his balance, falls off and disappears into the depths of the ocean where, tragically, he is eaten by a shark. Upset, she sobs a while. Then she starts to sing and finds hope again in the arrival of a second boat. A handsome captain salutes her. But her hopes are soon dashed when she realises that the captain prefers the cabin boy!
