justify;\">Helene Morawsky (geb. Schwerdtfeger ?) wurde am 2. Februar 1890 in Ciemin-Zab., in Russland geboren. (1) Diese Angaben sind allerdings nicht gesichert, die Quellen weisen unterschiedliche Geburtsorte und Geburtsdaten auf.(2) Auch der Name Hella Moja ist nur eines der Pseudonyme, unter denen Helene Morawsky als Darstellerin, Drehbuchautorin und Produzentin t\u00e4tig ist.(3) Sie verlor ihr Eltern sehr fr\u00fch, \u00fcber ihre schulische Ausbildung ist nichts bekannt.<br \/>\nHella Moja arbeitet zun\u00e4chst als \u00dcbersetzerin (Polnisch und Russisch) und ist schriftstellerisch f\u00fcr die Deutsche Presse-Korrespondenz in Hannover, den Ullstein- und den Scherl-Verlag t\u00e4tig.<br \/>\nHella Moja nimmt Schauspielunterricht bei Emmanuel Reicher (Reichersche Schule) und Frieda Richard und beginnt ihre schauspielerische Laufbahn zun\u00e4chst als Statistin im Lessing Theater. Sie tritt in verschiedenen Berliner Theatern, u.a. dem &#8222;Folies Caprice&#8220; auf. In dem St\u00fcck &#8222;Seine einzige Frau&#8220; im Lessing Theater spielt sie abwechselnd mit K\u00e4the Haack die Hauptrolle.<br \/>\nEntdeckt f\u00fcr den Film wird Hella Moja von Alwin Neu\u00df, der zu dieser Zeit als Regisseur f\u00fcr die Decla-Film t\u00e4tig ist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hella Moja wird ebenfalls von der Decla engagiert und bekommt ihre erste Rolle 1914 in dem Film &#8222;Der Weg der Tr\u00e4nen&#8220; (R: Alwin Neuss; B: Ruth Goetz). Sie arbeitet au\u00dferdem f\u00fcr Terra-Film. 1918 gr\u00fcndet sie die &#8222;Hella Moja Filmgesellschaft&#8220;; &#8222;Die Augen von Jade&#8220; (1919, R + B: Iwa Raffay) ist der erste Film, den sie produziert . In Max Macks &#8222;Figaros Hochzeit&#8220; (1920, R: Urban Gad) ist Hella Moja in der Rolle des Cherubins zu sehen. Die schauspielerische Leistung von Hella Moja wurde besonders in &#8222;Wundersam ist das M\u00e4rchen der Liebe&#8220; (Iwa Raffay, 1918) von der Presse gelobt. Von 1926 bis1930 schreibt sie weitere f\u00fcnf Drehb\u00fccher.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-default su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Mehr<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\"><br \/>\nBei der Macht\u00fcbernahme der Nazis 1938 bekommt Hella Moja Probleme, ihre &#8222;arische&#8220; Abstammung nachzuweisen, da sie angibt, in Ru\u00dfland geboren zu sein. Im Dezember 1938 wird sie aus der Reichsschrifttumskammer (RSK) ausgeschlossen, mit der Begr\u00fcndung, sie sei lediglich nebenberuflich schriftstellerisch t\u00e4tig. 1937 stellt Hella Moja alias Helka Moroff einen Antrag auf Pseudonym\u00e4nderung.(4) Bis 1942 gibt es keine Hinweise auf weitere Besch\u00e4ftigung. Von 1942 bis 1951 ist Hella Moja unter dem Namen Hella Sewa als Souffleuse im Kieler Stadttheater t\u00e4tig.
