Inhalt
In
a state hospital somewhere in South Japan live a number of old patients
who have been medically designated as „demented“. On the one hand,
the film shows concepts of care in practice that make sense: obtain
consent first, don’t just persuade; respect the senior citizens’
feelings; use skills that have stood the test of time; and communications
with the family are essential etc. On the other hand, the film is
a lively and individual portrait of old women living in such a community.
