Inhalt
In
Canada the label „Dangerous Offender“ is an extreme measure, normally
reserved for the worst criminal cases. Once declared a dangerous
offender, criminals may be incarcerated indefinitely. Marlene Moore’s
criminal record showed an impressive list of threats and minor assaults,
but the worst physical harm she seemed to cause was to herself –
a fact evidenced by the extensive scarring on her body from constant
self mutilation. This is a movie about a child raised in bars. Moore
entered jail first at age 13 and by 28 faced the possibility of
a life long penalty. At first, Moore is reluctant to fight. In spite
of her tough exterior it is clear that Moore’s scars run deep. In
her cell at night, she fights her illiteracy to compose letters
to her mother which she never sends ...
