This puppet film describes the life of a woman in a surreal and completely cut-off world of the past. The way into the present is blocked off for ever. The future appears to be within reach but she finds herself unable to make headway. The film deals with the problem of people living in isolation, who have lost the central persons of their lives. People who tend to exist - socially quarantined - solely for their memories of a past once happy. The pain of loss seems so great that they can not and will not permit themselves a life in the present.
