Mama Cash, a foundation run by women for women, was reated in Amsterdam in 1983. It funds the creation and development of feminist groups in South America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe. The foundation backs enterprising women and awards two prizes each year to feminist artists.
