Lani, played by Janette Razon, is a first generation Pinay Canadian. Set against the white snow of winter in Toronto, Lani tries to reject her Pinay Canadian origins to fit into white Canadian society. Through Ning, played by Madeline Villegas, Lani learns to embrace and love a Pinay Canadian existance.
